Before conducting any form of treatment I will need to conduct a consultation to establish your overall state of health and the exact details of your condition. It may be that underlying stress or trauma may be manifesting itself in the form of physical pain or illness and therefore root cause emotional treatment may be the way forward. Honesty and transparency of underlying causes are key to any form of healing so it is up to the individual to provide that if they truly want to move forward positively.
I work directly on the affected area or root cause area where appropriate and as such treatments may take longer than a client expects dependant upon circumstances.
Please note that there are many forms of reiki available as mentioned here, my practice is based on the traditional healing teachings of Mikao Usui. Western reiki practice is often perceived as calming and relaxing and yes whilst this may be part of the result of a traditional type treatment, my goal is to focus on helping others to heal and if that results in calm and relaxation so be it but the main focus is on healing ailments.
Treatment timing
Treatments will usually last up to an hour but if a client requests longer than can potentially be accommodated circumstances permitting.
Medical conditions
As mentioned above a detailed analysis of current conditions is always required. Many medical conditions can potentially be treated with reiki and in reality there are very few that need to be considered as avoidable. I will not list any here as each condition is unique to the individual therefore current circumstances will determine what can and can’t be considered upon discussion within the consultation.
